Send money to an inmate
Inmates are charged a transaction fee when they withdraw money from their account:
- The fee is 10% of the transaction or a $10 maximum.
- No fees apply to initial deposits, final withdrawals, or money deposited for bail.

You have several ways to get money to an inmate.
In person
You can drop off money at either jail location.

- You can drop off money 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
- Use the cash deposit machine in the front lobby.
- You need the exact spelling of the inmate’s name and their personal identification number (PAK). A daily roster is posted in the lobby.

Online
Deposit money directly into an inmate’s account:
- Visit the Access Corrections website.
- Choose Hennepin County Adult Detention Center in Downtown Minneapolis.
- Fees apply to this process.
By U.S. mail
- Send cash or money order payable to the inmate.
- Mail the payment to 401 S. 4th Ave., Suite #100, Minneapolis, MN 55415.
- These may be held for verification before money is available to the inmate.
