Fingerprinting

We do fingerprinting electronically. Ink fingerprinting is not available. Only 1 person is allowed in the fingerprinting area at a time.

We provide fingerprinting for needs such as:

  • Adoptions
  • Job applications
  • Identification
  • Immigration

Fingerprinting process

Fingerprinting can take up to 30 minutes. Your wait could be longer depending on the number of people in line.

We cannot allow strollers or car seat carriers past the lobby.

Prepare your fingers

Remove all rings and clean your fingers of any chemicals such as dye, henna or oil. Don’t come in if you have wounds that are still healing on your hands or fingers.

Fee

  • $20 per fingerprint session (includes up to 2 fingerprint cards)
  • $1 for each additional card
  • Cash only. Exact change only. No checks, debit or credit cards.

Items to bring with you

Valid and current government-issued ID

If your ID is expired, you can bring the renewal slip.

Acceptable IDs include:

  • State-issued driver’s license or ID card
  • U.S. passport or passport issued by another country
  • U.S. military ID: active duty, retired, reserve
  • Permanent resident card (Form I-551)

Blank fingerprint card if you have received one

If an employer or organization has given you a blank fingerprint card, bring that with you. Don’t fill out or sign the card before you come. We can only print on an actual fingerprint card, not a sheet of paper.

If you don't have a card, you can buy one from us for $1 per card.
